Assistant Professor of Finance, Dahlkemper School of Business 
Gannon University's Dahlkemper School of Business seeks an Assistant Professor of Finance.  The appointment for this tenure-track position begins in August 2022. The successful candidate will teach in the Finance concentration, the business core, and in the MBA program with a focus on business analytics. The School of Business seeks a candidate who is passionate about the Finance discipline, who is eager to prepare motivated students intellectually, professionally, and personally, and to serve as an academic advisor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work and teach in Gannon University's Center for Business Ingenuity (CBI). This state-of-the-art center for teaching, scholarship, and community engagement houses not only the Dahlkemper School of Business but also a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Erie Technology Incubator (ETI). Faculty and students interact with regional entrepreneurs some of whom are residents within the building. CBI also houses the Business Information Systems Laboratory (BISL), a high bandwidth facility designed to facilitate group projects by providing advanced tools for cooperation. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon.  Requirements include a Ph.D., D.B.A., or comparable degree (completed by August 2022) in finance or a closely related field; experience in financial services, financial planning, corporate finance as well as prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred.  Candidates must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.  

Candidates without a doctorate or terminal degree can be considered for a Teaching Track position.  Teaching track faculty appointments require a master's degree and relevant finance-related certifications, and prior teaching experience is preferred.  Teaching track faculty members are required to advise students and perform service to the University and/or the community/profession.
