About the Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the ADVANCE Office of Faculty Development in the Office of the Provost, the Program Coordinator plans and implements effective strategies to support Northeastern faculty careers throughout their time at the university.

Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator is expected to keep abreast of research on faculty development and lead the logistical planning and execution of all programs. Project tasks include, but are not limited to: Organize, coordinate and oversee management of events, programs, and trainings; facilitate collaborations and support external outreach efforts with community partners; identify relevant speakers, guests, and experts for campus events; assist in planning and coordinating conferences, training series, and signature programs; assist in data collection, analysis, and presentation; manage web presence, social media, and creation of promotional materials; and develop and present educational and/or training materials. The Program Coordinator interacts with other university offices, which collaborate with and support ADVANCE, such as Human Resources (HR), Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI), Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research (CATLR), Office of Research Development (ORD), and Accounts Payable, among others. The Program Coordinator manages the Research Leadership Development Initiative (ReDI), act as lead on the ADVANCE website, social media, marketing strategies, and write reports and newsletters. The Program Coordinator supervises both graduate and undergraduate students providing work standards, process, and the day-to-day work plan.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two to five years of experience in higher education is required. A master's degree is preferred with experience working with faculty. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, and sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of diverse constituents are required. A successful incumbent will be a team player with a strong work ethic who actively contributes to the office community and has a high level of attention to detail. Some weekend and evening hours are required very occasionally.
  • Knowledge of cultural competency, diversity and inclusion as higher education issues.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with program design and implementation; facilitation; curriculum development; instructional design and delivery; methods, principles or experience delivering training and/or speaking in front of audiences.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data and develop reports including graphs using Microsoft Excel or Qualtrics.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills and discretion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make sound decisions, and execute. Project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to resolve problems in a quick, efficient, creative and culturally competent manner.
  • Computer skills should include proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and online meeting platforms such as Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with website development and social media, including WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
