The College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for an Instructional Technology Specialist. This position is a full-time 9- month appointment with benefits and will begin August 16, 2022.

The Instructional Technology Specialist will be responsible for providing leadership to the college in technology integrated learning models and services aligned to emerging initiatives in public school settings, including blended learning, personalized learning, remote learning, and one-to-one computing. Specific duties for this position include: teaching undergraduate instructional technology courses, managing instructional multimedia production facilities and services; managing mobile instructional technology equipment services; coordinating support of classroom and studio technology resources with university Information Technology Services; providing professional development to college faculty;  and training and supervising a staff of student assistants to support the above duties.

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in Instructional Technology or a related field, current teaching licensure, and must have at least three years of K-12 public school teaching experience with extensive practice in blended learning, remote learning, and 1:1 computing pedagogy. Preferred qualifications include: deep technical knowledge of current and emerging classroom technologies; substantial experience in designing, developing and delivering instructional technology professional development to public school teachers; experience providing instructional technology support to public school teachers; experience in multimedia production; and experience teaching college students.
