Position Summary:
Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor specializing in studio voice (mezzo-soprano preferred) to begin in August of 2022. The successful candidate will participate fully in department activities, including recruiting students, hearing auditions, and attending recitals.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate qualifications include an earned doctorate in vocal performance, evidence of professional performing experience, and at least four years of teaching experience at the college level, which must include teaching applied lessons, teaching Diction, and directing opera productions or scenes. The ability to accompany standard undergraduate repertoire is required .
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching Pedagogy or Vocal Literature is preferred. For this position, near-native fluency in either German or French is preferred.
