Century College is currently seeking an outstanding Vice President to join our team! This successful individual will provide executive leadership to Century College, and direct leadership, management, and supervision to finance and administration, public safety and security, facilities services and maintenance, administrative services, and auxiliary enterprises.  This Vice President will implement initiatives and resolve issues at the executive level and provide support to the success of our college mission.

Century College is a community and technical college located in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, on a beautiful 170-acre campus just minutes from the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Senior management participation, via Executive Cabinet and the President’s Cabinet teams, in developing policies, strategic planning, and executive management for the college.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the financial operations of the college by serving as the Campus Financial Officer of the college.
  • Develop and lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring appropriate alignment of the budget with the college’s strategic and operational plans.
  • Provide leadership and direction for Administrative and Plant Maintenance Operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Serves as the executive leader representing the College’s external presence and relationship building in the community in partnership with the President and the Executive Director of the Foundation.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in administration, finance or accounting required.
  • Five years’ experience as a CFO or Vice President for Finance and Administration as a direct report to a CEO or President.
  • This position requires business acumen and experience with broad administration, accounting, and financial management, plus management and supervisions experience.
  • Leadership and management experience of a large organization with the ability to manage and oversee a division with multiple departments and service delivery, with demonstrated and successful organizational leadership, team building, staff development and excellent communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to accurately forecast the financial position of the college and manage a budget of more than $60 million.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the State and Federal laws and regulations relating to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system or other public college of university system, collective bargaining practices and contract implementation, and General Accepted Accounting Principles is necessary.
  • May require overnight travel. *

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public sector experience in higher education institutions
  • Six sigma lean process improvement certifications

Salary Range: $100,448 Minimum - $160,725 Maximum
