Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Accounts Payable and Grants Manager in the Business Affairs Office. The Accounts Payable and Grants Manager of the Business Affairs Office reports to the Associate Vice President for Financial Operations (AVPFO) and performs advanced accounting functions in the management of the Organization's business affairs.  This position assists in the review and maintenance of financial processes in the Business Affairs Office, provides accounting oversight.  The Accounts Payable and Grants Manager will supervise the Accounts Payable Accountants, Grant Accountant and Staff Accountant, and coordinates across all BAO teams as it pertains to shared services or accounting practices.  They provide Departmental oversight and backup accounting functions associated with accounts payable and grant reporting functions.  The team member will be called to provide account analysis and reconciliation(s) and provide valuable support for federal, state, and other organization compliance and reporting.  The Accounts Payable and Grant Manager maintains effective partnerships with academic and administrative units across the University. This person utilizes high-level accounting practices to ensure accuracy in the system and contribute materially to the accomplishments and success of the BAO and ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Government Accounting Standard Board pronouncements that affect the University.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, OR Bachelor’s degree with 30 quarter (20 semester) hours of college-level Accounting, OR 30 quarter (20 semester) hours of Accounting courses and three years of Accounting experience and five (5) years related experience required; AND 3 years managing and building high-performing teams; AND demonstrated ability resolving competing organizational priorities; AND experience communicating developments and changes to colleagues throughout an organization; AND 3 or more years of professional work experience within an organization or in public accounting, or a combination thereof, including: Review of transactions to be recorded, and research and preparation of complex reconciliations and adjustments.  Additional Requirements: Assisting with month-end and year-end closing entries; experience with grant accounting and billing, including understanding and adherence with regulatory compliance requirements; broad experience applying spreadsheet, database, and word processing software; accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to deliver high quality outcomes on a deadline; demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service; commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity; ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or to have an approved legal exemption and/or accommodation on file with Human Resources prior to your anticipated start date.
