Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an Academic Program Specialist to join their team in the Education Office operational area.

The Academic Program Specialist contributes to the development, implementation, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the medical student clerkship to ensure effectiveness in meeting departmental and student development goals and initiatives. The Academic Program Specialist strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
- One year of experience in Medical Student Education (UME) or Graduate Medical Education (GME).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as data base systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in Medical Student Education (UME) or Graduate Medical Education (GME).
- Experience with medical education program coordination.
- Experience in coordination of events, scheduling, and program planning.

- Effective written and oral communication.
- Ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting with other staff, residents, medical students, faculty, and other departments across SMPH.
