The ITS Instructional Technology Analyst ( ITA ) will utilize outstanding communication, technical, and project management skills, and an entrepreneurial approach to support and enrich various types of high-profile events across campus. The ITA will have responsibility for the technology systems installed in the Tan Auditorium at the National Veterans Resource Center. The ITA will have various responsibilities for events in supported venues including planning, scheduling resources, coordination, staffing, accessibility, technology needs and on-site support. The ITA will have a working knowledge of live video and audio production, theater production, theater lighting, live event support, communication access real-time translation support, public address systems, electronic architecture systems and an understanding of audio-visual technology. The ITA will work with other staff members as well as a team of students to provide event support. The ITA will also work directly with IT instructional staff and the Director of Learning Environments to foster excellence in event production and support across campus. The ITA will work collaboratively with other units and departments to enhance event support as outlined by the institution. Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Four (4) plus years of experience.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • A broad knowledge of audio and video production equipment operation and distribution is essential, as well as live video and audio production, theater production, theater lighting, live event support, communication access real-time translation support, public address systems, electronic architecture systems and a general understanding of audio-visual technology.
  • A working knowledge of computer applications (including Microsoft Office and web-based applications) is required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are needed.
  • Experience with audio visual system design, installation, and support as well as construction coordination is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the technology systems installed in the Tan Auditorium at the National Veterans Resource Center.
  • Planning, scheduling, coordination, staffing, accessibility, technology needs and on-site support for campus events in supported venues.
  • Direct support of events and academic media production efforts.
  • Assist with Infrastructure management and lifecycle planning.
  • Continually update technical skills and knowledge. Identify and advise Director and Learning Environments team members of trends in event production and support.
