To supervise and administer the daily operations of a Campus Admissions and Enrollment Office.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

1) Oversees and facilitates the delivery of direct services to prospective, current, and former students and provides direct support services to faculty and staff.
2) Coordinates and supervises campus Admissions and Enrollment operations; administers policies and procedures for outreach, admission, enrollment and the creation, maintenance, and retention of all student educational records.
3) Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of campus admissions and records personnel. Recommends hiring and termination personnel actions for positions supervised.
4) Participates in the development of District Admissions and Enrollment policies and procedures; collaborates with other departmental staff on development of additional collegewide policies.
5) Manages and processes new student admission applications, reviews and determines state and taxing district residency status, determines, maintains and retains permanent educational records.
6) Assists with the coordination of registration activities; implements and manages strategies for the provision of registration and academic record services; identifies operational and strategic goals for admissions, enrollment and academic records management.
7) Monitors the College's enterprise resource system to assure accurate and comprehensive student records. Responsible for the integrity, security, and maintenance of student academic records.
8) Creates, manages, and monitors student communications systems within the department and across the College.
9) Serves as primary Admissions and Enrollment contact for instructional and student services faculty, staff and students; lead resource on campus for admissions policies and procedures, and governmental regulation compliance.
10) Evaluates and adjudicates student enrollment and records appeals.
11) Assures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws regarding student admissions, registration, and recordkeeping including interpretation of existing regulations and the development of new guidelines.

* Principles and practices pertaining to higher education admissions, registration and recordkeeping services.
* State and federal policies pertaining to students in higher education.

Required Work Experience

* Two years related work experience including one year supervisory experience.
* Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.

Preferred Work Experience

* Work experience in Admissions and/or Enrollment Office or other Student Services unit in a community college setting.

Required Education

* Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education

* Master's degree.

Physical Requirements

* Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
* Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
* Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Safety

* Supervise safe operation of unit. Facilitate safety inspections. Take reasonable and prudent actions to eliminate identified hazards. Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and foster a workplace safety culture.

Hours

Typically Monday - Thursday 8 am - 7 pm, Friday 8 am - 5 pm, with occasional Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm.

Salary Range

$45,537 - $65,055

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
