Southwestern College is seeking a Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Health Sciences (or Biology), to teach courses and provide leadership to the Health Sciences program.

Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses that contribute to the core requirements for majors in the Natural Sciences, with specific emphasis on the Health Sciences degree. These courses would include Anatomy & Physiology 1and introductory and capstone Health Science seminar classes. Additional teaching may include upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise that support and complement current departmental offerings. This position will also contribute to introductory biology courses for majors and courses within the general education curriculum. Other departmental responsibilities include academic advising of students majoring in Health Sciences and/or Biology to prepare for careers in healthcare.

Qualifications: Terminal Degree (Ph. D. preferred) in Health Sciences, Biology, Organismal Biology, or some closely related field; demonstrated teaching effectiveness and excellence; teaching experience at the undergraduate or secondary level is recommended.
