IT Technical Associate/Database Developer (2 positions)


Primary Function

IIRC Database Developers work in small Agile teams (directed by Database Architects or Database Specialists in conjunction with a Project Manager) on the development and maintenance of database systems (typically in SQL ) that are required as part of IIRC’s strategic partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities (generally)

Design, develop, manage and maintain the IIRC database and it’s operations
Minimum Required Qualifications for this position

1. Master’s degree in Computer Science, OMIS or related field and 1 year of related experience in the development (specifically development, not management or use) of relational database systems
- OR -
Baster’s degree in Computer Science, OMIS or related field and 3 years of related experience in the development (specifically development, not management or use) of relational database system

2. Experience with SQL system development and management

Specialty Factors (Additional Required Qualifications)

Education and Experience Preferred

Master’s degree in computer science, OMIS or a related field and one or more years of experience in SQL database development and management (beyond query-based data extraction and analysis.) Experience in data visualization, especially of educational data, preferred.

  3. Demonstrated proficiency in programming, statistical analysis.

  5. Ability to analyze and select the appropriate emerging technologies that will apply to instructional programs and educational content.
  6. Ability to adapt quickly to project requirements for different stakeholders and to shift focus to serve changing project goals.
  7. Demonstrable skills in effective interpersonal relations and communication.

$5,416.67/month ($65,000.04 annualized)

Actual hiring rate is commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity; position includes a robust benefits package to eligible applicants.
