Position Function
The Marketing Content Specialist serves as a lead writer for Undergraduate Admissions, Transfer Center, Graduate Admissions, and International Admissions. This position will prepare copy for high-visibility and high-priority communication projects including developing marketing plans for each area represented, message development, content and social media strategy, intensive writing and storytelling components; compose and edit persuasive, accurate, engaging copy for a variety of audiences within a variety of media, and ensure consistency with the university’s brand voice. This position will also work as a part of CRM (Slate) team on writing, editing, and content development to meet enrollment goals.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum Experience
At least three years of professional experience in advertising, copywriting/editing journalism, public relations, or related field. Demonstrated mastery of high-quality, professional-level concept development; copywriting, and editing including experience writing, editing, design, and organizing content for websites, social media, and other electronic media.
Minimum Other
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated comfort level with learning new technologies.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree in Advertising, Business, English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
Preferred Experience
Three or more years professional communications experience in a public relations or advertising agency, journalistic organization, or a university environment. More than three years of related experience handling multiple tasks and deadlines. Experience with a CRM .

Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
