Summer Bridge Coordinator

Alfred University invites applicants to apply for the position of Summer Bridge Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a steering committee to establish and organize the program, including curriculum and event development. They will oversee the program and be responsible for ongoing consultation and support for Bridge Scholars. The Summer Bridge Coordinator will work with Admissions to identify participants and create communications to prospective students, and develop and conduct assessment of program with regular reporting to supervisor and provost. They will manage budget, hire summer instructors, and coordinate housing, meals, supplies, classroom venues, and events.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Summer Bridge committee to implement initial program for summer 2022
• Work with Enrollment Management to identify and accept Bridge Scholar candidates
• Hire instructors for the program
• Coordinate logistics of scheduling, housing, food, supplies with the appropriate university areas
• Responsible for overseeing the operations of the program
• Responsible for ongoing support and academic coaching for Bridge Scholars throughout their undergraduate careers.
• Develop and implement program assessment
• Evaluate and propose plans for program growth as appropriate

Requirements:

• Formal Education: Master’s degree in School Psychology, Special Education, College Student Development, or related field.
• Experience: Program administration/coordinator experience desirable; knowledge and experience in higher education preferred.
