THE PLACE: Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology has established itself as the nation’s top undergraduate
engineering, science and mathematics college. The scenic campus in
west-central Indiana is home to 2,100 students with a passion for

THE POSITION: The Department of Computer
Science and Software Engineering at Rose-Hulman invites
applications for tenure-track faculty positions with an anticipated
start date of August 2022. The department, which continues to
experience strong enrollment growth (currently 500 students),
offers B.S. degrees in computer science and software engineering.
These programs are accredited by the Computing and Engineering
Accreditation Commissions of ABET. The department offers a
multidisciplinary second major in data science, multidisciplinary
robotics minor, and several ongoing research projects among its
vibrant interdisciplinary initiatives.
Preferred candidates will have a doctorate (or near completion) in
computer science, software engineering or closely related fields
(including engineering education with an emphasis on these fields)
and evidence of, or demonstrated potential for, excellence in
undergraduate teaching. We are looking for candidates who embrace
the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman to join our collegial team of
24 faculty. The department and the Institute place a high value on
engaging students from traditionally underrepresented groups, and
candidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply.

experience of our students are also encouraged to apply.
