ADJUNCT FACULTY POSITION
Department of Anatomy, University of California, San Francisco

The Department of Anatomy and the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in the Adjunct Professorial series (non-tenure track). Salary and title will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and training.

Experience coordinating complex Human Anatomy curricula and documented excellence in the teaching of human anatomical sciences (gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, embryology, and/or histology) are required. Additionally, successful applicants are expected to demonstrate expertise in cadaveric dissections and prosections. PhD, MD, EdD or equivalent academic doctoral degree is required at the time of hire. Applicant's CV must state (pending) degree requirement upon application submission.

Teaching duties will include curriculum development as well as gross anatomy, neuroanatomy and embryology education (including lecturing, small group facilitation, and laboratory teaching) within integrated courses for medical students, pharmacy students, dental students, physiotherapy students, and medical residents. Teaching responsibilities also include anatomy instruction in the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program. Candidates are expected to perform complete body dissection. There may also be opportunities for participation in or supervision of anatomy-related teaching outside of the School of Medicine.

The successful candidate is expected to develop an area of scholarly work. Research experience (including a record of publications) in the field of Biology or Educational Scholarship is desirable.
