The Columbia Climate School, a newly created school,
at Columbia University, and the Center on Global Energy Policy
(CGEP) seek a talented individual to become the Chief of Staff.
Columbia has established the Columbia Climate School
to develop and inspire knowledge-based solutions and basic science,
and educate future leaders for just and prosperous societies on a
healthy planet. The Center on Global Energy Policy advances smart,
actionable, and evidence-based energy and climate solutions through
research, education, and dialogue, and is the premier hub and
policy lab for global energy thought leadership.
The Chief of Staff will serve as a deputy to as well
as a key member of the CGEP and Climate School leadership teams,
supporting the coordination and oversight of the portfolio. The
successful candidate will manage all items of importance and will
collaborate with the director/co-dean to manage and execute by
ensuring that everything surrounding the director/co-dean’s role
runs as effectively and as efficiently as possible. The individual
will partner with relevant senior leaders at CGEP and the Climate
School to develop and sustain an effective strategy and
communication structure for integrated execution. The person will
lead and drive center-wide and school-wide critical priorities.

imperatives; broad administrative and people management skills; and
