Position Information

Position Title Assistant Director, Stewardship and Donor Engagement Overview
Leads or primarily supports various engagement and stewardship functions, including communications, strategic initiatives, reporting, and organizing meetings. These functions all contribute to a best-in-class donor experience, and, in turn, directly support the fundraising goals of the College. Essential Duties:
1. Lead and maintain stewardship reporting. This may include, but is not limited to, gift acknowledgment processes for annual benefactors, endowed fund reports, and the annual donor gratitude report. Collaborate with Annual Giving, Athletics, and Advancement Services to strategize and recommend updates to gift acknowledgment processes. Under the direction and guidance of the Director, execute the annual endowment reporting process. Collaborate with the OIA and Marketing & Communications team to lead the production of the annual donor gratitude report.

2. Launch and manage the engagement and stewardship of the Providentia Society and its Leadership Committee, a group of top benefactors, high-impact volunteers, and campus leaders. Serve as the OIA liaison for the President’s Council, and the PC to Wall Street Council.

3. Identify and catalog volunteer opportunities for donor engagement, with focus on top prospects. Create and maintain a database to track and match opportunities. Consult with campus partners to identify needs and areas for volunteer support. Collaborate with OIA staff to identify prospects for enhanced engagement. Utilize CRM to identify, match, and track engagement opportunities and volunteers.

4. Collaborate with the Sr. Director on leadership volunteer training including, but not limited to, an annual Volunteer Leadership Series and Tri-annual Conference. Identify areas for personal and professional development, recommend topics and speakers, and organize logistics. Marginal Duties:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Two to four years’ relevant experience with fundraising/stewardship, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, ect.) with an emphasis on Excel skills
  • CRM platform such as Affinaquest
  • Collaborative team player who interacts successfully and professionally with colleagues and external constituents
  • Excellent time and project management skills with strong attention to detail, donor-centric focus, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to independently problem-solve, think strategically, and be proactive
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with benefactors and volunteers
