Position Purpose
The Criminal Justice & Criminology program at the University of Central Missouri has a tenure track opening beginning August 2022.
The candidate shall be able to teach courses in the area of Criminal Justice & Criminology within the current curriculum. The candidate should have a demonstrable commitment to scholarly and professional activities, the instruction and mentoring of both undergraduate and graduate students, a readiness to participate in departmental, college, and university service, as well as an ability to contribute to distance learning opportunities.
Teaching Area: Candidates with demonstrated skills and experience in teaching juvenile justice, law and legal studies are highly desired.
Research Area: Candidates with demonstrated skills and experience in research on juvenile justice, law and legal studies are highly desired.
Teaching Load: The appointment is a 4/4 load or an option of a 3/3 load with a research release.

Doctorate degree (Specify field(s) of study below)
Other Education & Formal Training
Doctoral Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field. ABD will be considered.
A candidate will have one year to complete the terminal degree and will hold the title of Visiting Assistant Professor while ABD .
Legal Scholars may possess a J.D. with one State Bar Certification.
Computer Skills
