The School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks an internationally renowned structural engineer to to oversee interdisciplinary courses designed for architecture and civil engineering students. The term is August 2022 - July 2025.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering, PhD preferred. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement in Expertise in building systems, systems integration, and in technologies supporting innovative approaches to design and construction. Extensive practical experience and a record of exemplary leadership in design and delivery of innovative engineering/architectural projects. Ability to teach interdisciplinary courses in both a seminar and studio format

Travel is a significant component of the position, as the successful candidate will organize and lead an 8-10-day traveling workshop annually, typically at the end of May / beginning of June each year during the term of the appointment.
