Position Summary

This is a position in Sponsored Projects Services within the office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development, which manages and supports the research infrastructure and is dedicated to providing the best support possible for University faculty. Time management, strong communication skills and the ability to remain confident and poised in a fast-paced environment are essential. Individuals in this role must be adept problem-solvers who are able to manage multiple projects and requests under strict deadlines.

The Proposal Specialist duties will include:

· Provide direct support to University faculty and departments to facilitate proposal development, requiring the ability to interpret and apply sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance with University, Research Foundation and Sponsor policies.

· Works with faculty and administrators to develop budgets and ensure that applications for sponsored funds are in compliance with sponsor guidelines and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 1 – 2 years of administrative experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work in a diverse deadline driven environment
Preferred Qualifications

3 years of direct Grants Management experience.
