Job Description Summary
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Bentley University—an independent, private business-oriented university located in suburban Boston—invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2022.We seek candidates with research strengths in computational statistics, data science, machine learning, or optimization, but are open to candidates with other research interests that align with the department's overall scholarly mission. Candidates with the ability and willingness to teach courses in data science and/or computational statistics are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Mathematical Sciences Department offers thriving undergraduate programs in mathematical sciences, actuarial sciences, and data analytics. We also offer an MS in Business Analytics, and are active in the PhD program in Business, both in teaching and in doctoral student supervision. We value collaboration with faculty in other departments and have a particularly strong record of leadership in such activities. Our department is extremely collegial and enjoys an impressive level of diversity among our full-time faculty, which includes an almost equal representation of male and female faculty who originate from 10 countries. Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline. Criteria for selection include (a) evidence of excellent teaching ability, (b) high quality research skills and experience, and (c) ability to build research connections with a variety of colleagues.
