Deerfield Academy seeks three Class Deans for grades 9, 10 and 11 to start on August 2022. We are looking for leaders who care deeply about the wellbeing and growth of our students, bringing the best out of them while holding them accountable.  They should be committed to developing an inclusive community and driven to effect positive change through creative, collaborative and practical problem-solving.

ABOUT THIS POSITION: 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of the Academy’s residential life program;
  • Facilitates responses to possible rule infractions;
  • Liaises with other departments in support of students;
  • Assists with the design, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate student life, governance, advising programs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 – 3 years residential life experience preferred
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage, and sensitivity to, highly confidential information
  • Strong technology skills, including MS Office
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize work in fast-paced environment accurately and efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
