Bennington College, an innovative and pioneering liberal arts institution, is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Registrar to help manage academic records, support course registration, and provide other related services within the Provost's Office. This position has great potential for professional growth as the college implements new initiatives designed to provide students with an exceptional and seamless experience. The Assistant Registrar will report to the Registrar and Director of Enrollment Services, but will collaborate with colleagues within the Registrar's Office and from across the college in support of students and their success.

The Assistant Registrar is a point of contact in the Registrar's Office for all inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and alumni, greeting and assisting those who visit the office, as well as promptly answering inquiries made by phone and email. The Assistant Registrar will provide timely services to students on campus and support various records, registration, and data-related responsibilities within the office. Additionally, the Assistant Registrar will help with the production and maintenance of the College's online course catalog.

This position requires impeccable attention to detail, the ability to manage sensitive information with tact and discretion, a strong work ethic, and keen customer-relation skills. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, strong technology skills (Google Suite required, student information systems and WordPress preferred), and a facility with databases and/or Microsoft Excel. Two or more years of relevant work experience is required; background in a registrar's or records office-or in higher education-is preferred.
