Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer to join their exceptional team!

The Chief Administrative Officer directs the overall administrative operations of the clinical, educational, research and service responsibilities of the Clinical/Academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with unique linkage to and responsibilities for the UW Medical Foundation physician group practice. The Clinical Department is organized into seven divisions (academic specialists/generalists, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, maternal-fetal medicine, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, reproductive sciences and reproductive and population health) and ten administrative operational areas (accounting and finance administration, human subject core services, tissue collection and processing core, professional coding, department clinical administration, educational administration, information technology, outreach/communications, medical administrative program support, and sponsored projects and contract administration).

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
- A demonstrated understanding and recognition of the academic medical center's multiple missions of teaching, research, clinical service and community service.
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible professional experience with a record of significant accomplishments in managing a complex organization, departments, or programs, preferably in an academic medical center environment directing a large department and medical group practice.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to communicate and interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students; demonstrated abilities in policy development and interpretation, budgetary/finance skills; excellent organizational skills and experience managing staff; experience participating in committee activities, including leading meetings and committees, and general professionalism.
