Position Purpose
To manage, oversee and coordinate all administrative functions of the department’s Theatrical Production program, including prioritization of multiple activities. To advise and support the Director of Theater and the Department Chair on programmatic and administrative matters, ensuring efficient, accurate and timely operations and sound fiscal management.

Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Thorough knowledge of financial and budget principles and procedures.
- Ability to acquire new technical skills and implement new procedures.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security.
- Strong commitment to a diverse working environment and to serving the needs of a large and diverse community.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-4 years relevant experience in a highly autonomous setting.
- Familiarity with Dartmouth systems a plus.
- Experience in a theatrical or performing arts environment preferred but not required.

Hopkins Center Liaison – serves as primary point of contact with Hopkins Center communications and administration teams, coordinating on all matters related to theater production marketing, sales, administrative planning, finance, and communications.

Event Coordination – With the Academic Coordinator, responsible for the management, coordination and implementation of all department events including department meetings, lectures, workshops, conferences, faculty, guest speakers, student presentations, open houses, social gatherings, alumni events and seminars.

Information Management – With the Academic Coordinator and the Production Manager and adhering to institutional policies and procedures, maintains a comprehensive array of manual and electronic records such as inventories, budgets, student information and personnel files, determines retention and disposition for specific information not otherwise covered by institutional policies.

Facilities – Facilitates facilities matters such as theater and rehearsal space renovations and building improvements as well as general maintenance issues and upkeep, office space assignments and access issues.

Human Resources – Hires, trains and supervises and evaluates student employees according to department/program administrative structure. Works with faculty on HR issues such as staff hiring, performance management, compensation and terminations.
