UTC and the UC Foundation are looking for a Financial Analyst with interest in budget tracking and general journal accounting. We are looking for an experienced individual who understands income and expense journal entries and the accounts payable function. The position will work with the Assistant Vice Chancellor to provide strength in reporting and financial stewardship to UTC Development and Alumni Affairs and the UC Foundation.

Position:

Utilizes critical thinking skills to facilitate coding of expenses and track budgets. Process accounts payable documents including coding of invoices to chart of accounts. Facilitate reconciliation of corporate credit card statements and apply coding to approved expenditures. Create GL entries in UC Foundation accounting software. Assist in creation of monthly budget reports to UTC departments and financial statement preparation. Train in donor database to assist in contribution entry as needed.

Qualifications :

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; strong and relevant experience may be considered in lieu. Minimum of 3 years of business office experience required.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Initial minimum salary and increases are dependent on education, experience and qualifications.

Experience: Previous experience in account reconciliation and accounting software use. Budget and accounts payable experience preferred.

Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, chart of accounts structure and journal entries. Detail oriented and organized. Excellent Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development skills. Developed written and verbal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
