The Massey Cancer Center, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has a postdoctoral research associate position immediately available. Applicants should have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and proven skills and experience in the research areas of Biochemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology, in particular, protein engineering and purification, genome editing, stem cell culture, etc. The ideal candidate should have publication records in peer-reviewed journals Nature Science, Cell, Developmental Cell, PNAS, etc. The research focus of our laboratory will be on epigenetic regulation, particularly posttranslational histone modifications, on embryonic stem cell and cancer stem cell pluripotency and differentiation. The Massey Cancer Center has a group of outstanding scientists in epigenetic and chromatin research, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with them and get assistance in developing an independent career in the research field.

Salary Range: $53,760 minimum
