Postdoctoral Associate
Job Description:
Postdoctoral associates are expected to develop new research avenues in collaboration with the PI and contribute to existing projects in the lab. The lab is trainee-centered and surrounded by diverse expertise in the department and on the University of Florida campus. The candidate will work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team, an enthusiastic mentor and a supportive department to maximize productivity and success. Co-mentorship opportunities are also available.
Expected Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
A Ph.D. focused on one of the following broad areas: biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, or cell biology.
Preferred Qualifications: At least two published or “in preparation” papers
- Technical knowledge of modern research methods, data collection, and analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized
Experience with methods in genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, or biochemistry are preferred, but not required. Special Instructions to Applicants:
