The Department of Community Health and Family Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks MD/DO, family medicine/internal medicine physician to join us. The position is for Clinical Assistant/Associate professor level for a clinical non-tenure accruing track at our outpatient care office - UF Health Family Medicine – Normandy. This individual will serve as the Medical Director at UF Health Family Medicine – Normandy. The Practice is in a dynamic environment that provides outpatient care to include all ages, depending on one’s training and experience. There is potential to perform for a variety of procedures to include gynecologic, musculoskeletal and dermatologic. Opportunity exists to teach medical students during their clinical rotations, in addition to overseeing Advanced Practice Providers. Additionally, promotion to Clinical Associate Professor and/or Clinical Professor is available to qualified candidates. Physicians licensed as general practitioners, Areas of Critical Need (CAN), or eligible for a Medical Faculty Certificate (MFC) are also encouraged to apply.

Major responsibilities include outpatient care, with opportunity for teaching and research, and administrative duties associated with management of a clinical practice and supervision of a junior physician or non-physician.

This position is up to full time and will report to the Chair of the department at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville.

Base salary is guaranteed, with significant additional productivity incentives and strong benefits package.

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges - medicine, nursing and pharmacy - located on the approximately 110-acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college's 16 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.

With more than 5,000 faculty and staff, the academic health center in Jacksonville is the largest UF campus outside of Gainesville, offering nearly 100 specialty services, including: Cancer services; Cardiovascular; Neuroscience; Orthopaedic; Pediatrics; Poison Center; Trauma and Critical Care; and Women and Families services. At 37 clinical sites throughout Northeast Florida, UF physicians tally more than 600,000 outpatient visits and more than 34,000 inpatient admissions annually.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must be MD/DO and have a Florida Medical License.
A Florida Area of Critical Need (ACN) license will be considered.
