Primary Function

This individual will oversee all operational phases of events, pre-event, event, and post event, including all staff supervision and training. This individual will oversee operations scheduling for building changeover staff, technical, as well as, assist in the event coordination. Responsibilities include supervising and performing the work involved in the conversion of the Athletic Department facilities for a large variety of events.
Duties and Responsibilities (generally)

This position is accountable to the Auditorium Technical Director and performs his/her duties in his/her absence or as directed. This individual supervises assigned Extra Help and Student employees. This position will work closely with all Convocation Center and Intercollegiate Athletics departments and staff to provide excellent guest service.
Minimum Required Qualifications for this position

High School graduation or equivalent
Two years of supervisory experience

This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. The individual in this position must possess leadership and supervisory skills and be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of electrical systems, sound system operation and maintenance procedures, theatrical lighting system operation and maintenance procedures, terminology and principles pertinent to electric, electronic, sound, and light equipment is essential.

This person must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. The individual must have the physical strength to assist in arena set-ups and tear downs, as well as be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders. The employee will regularly move/ lift equipment, and will be exposed to loud conditions, and moving parts.
