The Theatre & Dance Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2022. The department seeks candidates committed to teaching excellence at a comprehensive institution that supports both liberal arts curricula and professional programs.

The successful candidate will be a practicing artist with a background as an educator in acting, voice, and movement.  Primary responsibilities will be teaching different levels of acting, voice, and movement, as well as Introduction to Theatre. Ability to teach acting for the camera is also desirable. Additional responsibilities include directing one production per academic year, advising and mentoring students, recruiting prospective students, both onsite and offsite (locally and nationally), as well as working closely with the department chair and faculty to revise the existing acting curriculum and reactivate the BFA Acting program. All faculty at Nazareth College are expected to participate in committee service within the Department and College. 

Required Education
MFA in acting or directing with significant professional experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Direct productions, teach acting, voice for the stage, movement etc. Ability to teach acting for camera courses is also desirable.

Preferred Qualifications
A terminal degree in acting or directing, college level teaching experience.
