Position Purpose: The Human Resource Coordinator supports learning by coordinating day-to-day administrative Human Resources functions, including responsibilities of receptionist, employment and benefit data entry and processing. The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the other Human Resources staff.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years of related experience required, preferably in HR.
- Experience in higher education or not-for-profit setting preferred.
- Understanding of Human Resource functions and processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and parents; and develop strong working relations with colleagues, staff, administrators.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organization skills, strong detail orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining accurate information and productivity.
- Professionalism, maturity, and discretion are critical in order to handle confidential nature of function.
- Ability to learn, apply new information quickly, and appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn/utilize other software applications as needed.
- Ability to spend long periods of time at a computer workstation.
- Ability to move about campus and other locations.
- Minor lifting requirements, such as files or copy paper boxes, as needed.
- Ability to use general office equipment.
- Ability to interact in person, via electronic media, and on the telephone.
