Scope of Job:
Coordinates with critical assigned internal university clients to plan and formulate marketing strategies and execute corresponding integrated marketing plans that support their goals and the UTRGV brand, exercising independent judgment and authority. Assigned clients and projects will focus on the most important strategic marketing projects at the University but will also include some secondary priority projects and clients.

Description of Duties:
• Acts as the first-line representative for assigned internal university clients and serves as liaison between University Marketing and Communications and those clients.
• Meets with assigned clients to plan and develop a deep understanding of their goals and objectives and works with the client and manager to co-develop marketing strategies and plans that support achieving those goals.
• Conducts marketing planning for assigned clients: Conducts and leverages marketing research as needed and distills clients’ objectives to actionable, goal-oriented plans and campaigns with defined and measurable outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Makes recommendations to supervisors and clients on marketing budgets, including which audiences to target based on demographic/geographic data and what the best mediums are to communicate the client’s message.
• Coordinates execution of marketing plans and campaigns for assigned clients across the multidisciplinary University Marketing and Communications team, including translating goals into creative briefs, planning, scheduling, and working with outside vendors and advertising partners.
• Coordinates and leads strategy and planning meetings with creative staff and production team and ensures objectives are met.
• Participates in the development of creative pitches and leads pitch meetings with assigned clients.
• Coordinates multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, driving follow-up and awareness of deadlines both within marketing team and with the client.
• Builds and maintains assigned client relationships, keeps informed on project status and additional requirements, and provides information on new or enhanced services.
• Ensures consistent brand articulation for assigned clients, that marketing and advertising dollars are being allocated effectively for assigned clients, and that their plans align to the university’s strategic goals.
• Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

General supervision from assigned supervisor.

Supervision Given:
Direct supervision of assigned staff.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, or related field.

Licenses/Certifications:
None.

Required Experience:
Three (3) years of experience performing closely related duties.

Preferred Experience:
None.

Equipment:
Use of standard office equipment.

Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office environment; some travel and weekend work is required.

This is identified as a hybrid remote (work from home) position and will require reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace when working from home.
