Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Director of Disability Services for Students.

The candidate would be expected to: assist and advise University with regard to compliance issues as they relate to the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; perform ongoing consultation with the Office of the General Counsel and the Office of Equity and Diversity; advise students with disabilities as appropriate.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2013, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2013, Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Three years of experience in special education, counseling, rehabilitation or other clinical field.

Knowledge and understanding of Rehabilitation Act of 1973-Section 504 and Americans with Disabilities Act. Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and laws of confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of administrative experience, including supervisory responsibilities, at the college level.

Educational background and training in disciplines related to educating and serving individuals with disabilities.

Experience with assessment and program planning. Knowledge/Experience working Accommodate or similar online platform.
