The School of Graduate & Professional Studies at Messiah University invites applications for a full time faculty in the graduate business & leadership program.  Rank is open and will be determined based on qualifications. This is a 9 month position with a two week summer stipend.

Responsibilities: This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Business (ADB) and is responsible for administrative leadership of the graduate business and leadership program, as well as teaching & advising within the program.

 Administrative

  1. Ensures that the curriculum meets accreditation standards.
  2. Works with the Coordinator of Business Assessment and ADB to collect and review student-learning assessment.
  3. Attends Business faculty meetings on-campus.
  4. Oversee Graduate Business advising.
  5. Approves all capstone projects.
  6. Represents the university at professional meetings and in the community, serving as an effective spokesperson for the program.
  7. Develops, grows, and maintains key recruiting partnerships.
  8. Assists ADB and graduate enrollment with establishing enrollment goals, achieving recruitment goals, and maintaining retention goals.
  9. Responds in a timely manner to all inquiries from perspective students.
  10. Reviews applicant files, and communicate admissions decisions in a timely fashion.
  11. Works with ADB to prepare faculty-loading assignments and secure adjuncts.
  12. Supervises the Graduate Business admin.

 Teaching

  • Is a ranked faculty member in the Graduate Program.
  • Teaches on a regular basis in his/her area of expertise.

    Qualifications: Doctoral degree in related field.  1-5 years of teaching experience in a college or university setting.  Preference given to those with understanding of adult learning theory and online learning best practices. 

    The Program: The Graduate program in Business and Leadership offers M.A, M.B.A. and Certificate options. The M.B.A has concentrations in Digital Marketing, Healthcare Management, Management, Strategic Leadership and Dietetics.

    M.A. in Strategic Leadership, and a M.A. in Healthcare Leadership. Certificates are available in Digital Marketing, Strategic Leadership, Management and Healthcare Management. This program is fully online.

    Compensation: Messiah University offers a strong benefits package in addition to salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
