Starbucks Lead
Location: Moscow

Pay Range: $16.29 per hour or higher depending on experience and education

Position Summary:
The Starbucks Lead is responsible for supporting the VandalStore Mission and producing the core outcomes: Student Success, Customer Experience, Great Product, and Great Environment. The position focuses on performance management, cash handling, inventory controls, scheduling, and resource management. It is a supervisory role that sets a high standard of customer service for both the University of Idaho and Starbucks and leads and trains a team for success. The Starbucks Lead also assures that the University of Idaho VandalStore is in compliance with the licensed store agreement with the Starbucks Corporation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Two years of staff management in a retail or food service environment
- Experience with customer service; cashiering/POS systems; staff training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working as a Barista
- Starbucks experience at a manager or shift supervisor level
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, accurately, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; communicate effectively in person and via the telephone.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills; serve and communicate with diverse personalizes and culture; excellent customer service skills.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously with great attention to detail.
- Communicating effectively with Internal/External customers; in-person, phone and email.
- Working both in teams or independently.
- Working in a multi-task environment, maintaining confidentiality, and following oral and written instructions, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of:
- Retail methods, inventory control, pricing, and promotions;
- Retrieval of information, report writing, scheduling and basic human relations activities (performance management, hiring, termination, etc.) and systems trouble shooting;
- Ability to use a computer and current software and applications for word processing, email, internet searches, and data organization.
- Posses a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift (8 hours), bend and stoop;
- Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 50 pounds;

- Willing and able to early mornings, evenings, weekends and special events.
