Summary
Under the direction of the Injury and Violence Prevention Program, the IVPP Director and the IVPP Assistant Director, provides hospital-based and community linked services to patients within VCUHS who have experienced intimate partner violence/sexual assault, human trafficking, and other interpersonal crimes and injury through assessment, crisis intervention, advocacy, and counseling. Is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of Project Empower, IVPP Counseling and Consultation on IMPACT Dating Violence programming. Cascading Goals for this position are as follows: Coordinate Project Empower and coordinate IVPP Counseling: including clinical counseling development, supervision of specialized licensed staff, supervision of advocacy staff, patient advocacy, grants development, writing and management, staff and volunteer training, and community education and engagement .- Supervise Empower Team and IVPP Counseling teams.



Typical Duties
Grant Writing and Cross-Program Development, Seeks, develops, and writes funding proposals for all IVPP programs.
Provides supervision in coordination with other Directors/Managers for training and development specific to Dating Violence intervention and prevention services.
Supervision of Empower Advocates & Counseling Teams
Provides TTA to VCU Health Systems main hospital and rural locations, community partners such as other hospital systems and community services boards, and other community partner agencies
Serve as main point of contact to participating hospitals and funder for technical assistance to include coaching calls and one-on-one virtual coaching
Create training materials to be distributed to participating hospitals
Organize site visits and shadowing opportunities between IVPP and participating hospitals
Lead the development and implementation of educational materials and curriculum
Provide content expertise to participating hospitals
Assist sites with program development
Provide as needed assistance to sites
Oversee day-to-day training and technical assistance duties as they relate to community violence

Required Education and Experience
Master’s degree in social work or related discipline. Knowledge of IPV/SA service system. Ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary hospital program team, individuals and families experiencing IPV/SA, and community providers. Ability to provide assessment, counseling, and mental health diagnostic services to victims of IPV/SA. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Prior experience supervising a diverse team Must agree to CPS and criminal background check. Dependable transportation required

Preferred Education and Experience
Experience and training working with the IPV/SA population. Hospital and community experience preferred. Experience in hospital education preferred
