About SUNY Oneonta:

The Department of Secondary Education and Educational Technology at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Secondary Mathematics Education beginning Fall 2022. Expectations include, but are not limited to, teaching, research, student advisement, college service, and continuing professional development.

Job Description:

Duties include but not limited to: teaching undergraduate courses in Mathematics Education; teaching core education courses; supervising student teachers; teaching courses in the Educational Technology Specialist Master's program; maintaining an active publishing and research agenda; service to the college and community; advisement of students; and teaching other courses to meet department needs.


Required Qualifications: Ph.D or Ed.D from an accredited institution in Mathematics Education or related area (ABD considered, completion required by date of appointment); minimum of three years teaching mathematics in grades 7-12.

Preferred: experience with teaching technology integration; experience with online teaching; and experience in teaching, mentoring, research, or service with diverse and/or multicultural populations.
