Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Montgomery County Community College invites applications for the Marketing & Communications Coordinator position.  Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator oversees and coordinates assigned communications and marketing efforts for various College initiatives. In conjunction with colleagues across the College, this person executes tactics across key functional areas, defining scope, budget, project plan and deliverables. Responsibilities include project management, content development, client relations, email marketing and vendor management. This person must be a proven problem solver with a positive, self-starter attitude.

 

Essential Knowledge & Skills

Education/Training/Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of integrated marketing strategy and tactics
  • Ability to research, write, and edit for multiple platforms and audiences
  • Proven ability to work daily in project management software
  • Team player with professional demeanor and customer service abilities
  • Persuasive communication skills and an ability to negotiate
  • Proven experience managing vendor or third-party relationships
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, with a built-in sense for what should be prioritized
  • Strong attention to detail a must
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Background in managing budgets and invoicing a plus
  • Experience in CMS a plus
