Position Purpose
The Repair Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer and devices for Dartmouth departments and individuals. The technician works with the Computer Sales and Service team to deliver repair services and improve associated processes for ITC Client Services.
Description
Join our Information, Technology and Consulting Computer Sales & Service group within Client Services at Dartmouth. Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp
Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Associates degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 1-3 years experience working with hardware repair on one or more related hardware (eg, PC, Mac, or mobile devices).
* Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and priorities.
* Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
* Demonstrated ability to work with a point-of-sales and/or ticketing system.
* Experience working with managing inventory.
* Experience working in a client-facing technology role
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients.
* Experience interacting with vendors as the main point of contact for the institution.
* Demonstrated knowledge of scripting through experience, education, or certification
* Experience designing and modifying processes to improve the client experience.
* Experience leading projects or project-related work.
* Experience working effectively on teams and leading team initiatives.
* Ability to learn and improve technical skills.
* Experience mentoring and teaching others in related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in an Academic environment.
* Certifications from relevant technologies and manufacturers.
