About the Opportunity
The D'Amore-McKim School of Business is seeking a motivated and customer service oriented Administrative Assistant. This individual reports to the Special Assistant and Project Manager to the Dunton Family Dean, and serves a critical role in the administrative functions of D'Amore-McKim School of Business.
Responsibilities:
Primary areas of responsibility include serving as the front desk customer service representative and first-line resource for all visitors and callers to the Office of the Dunton Family Dean. They provide an office atmosphere responsive to student, faculty, corporate, and international visitor needs by having a thorough knowledge and understanding of DMSB and University policies and procedures. They will represent the University and the Office of the Dunton Family Dean in a professional, enthusiastic manner, with a customer service and team focus.
This individual provides administrative and backup support for Dean's Office Professional and Administrative staff, initiatives and events. In conjunction with the Associate Director of Event Planning and Management, they will coordinate scheduling and arranging all logistics of DMSB monthly faculty meetings. In addition, the Administrative Assistant oversees the hiring and training of all student workers.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred. A Minimum of one to two years customer service experience required.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills essential
- Requires ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels with diplomacy, discretion, and tact.
- The ability to work both collaboratively, as well as autonomously, in prioritizing and executing multiple projects, tasks, and priorities.
- Detail oriented and demonstrated record of dependability and
strong work ethic; excellent computer and proofreading skills with
proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database
management. Experience in higher education setting is
preferred.
