Job Summary

The Recruitment Coordinator for the College of Nursing and Health Professions serves as the coordinator for all enrollment management-related initiatives. The coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating, organizing, planning the enrollment of programs through new student pipeline management including, but not limited to, marketing, communications, recruitment events, program management, community relations, high school partnerships and relationship-building activities. The coordinator will develop integrated communication plans and execute events aligned with overall University goals. A successful Coordinator possesses the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, is extremely organized, understands complex organizations from academic and business perspectives, has strong presentation skills, and can work independently and collaboratively.

The coordinator also works closely with Associate Deans and Program Chairs from the following undergraduate bachelor’s programs:
  • Nursing (Co-op and Accelerated Career Entry formats)
  • Behavioral Health Counseling/Saturday Scholars
  • Health Services Administration
  • Health Sciences
  • Nutrition Sciences
  • Food and Hospitality Management
Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and staff’s prospective student events including but not limited to: Open Houses, Accepted Students Days, Dragon Days, Daily Visits, Information Sessions, and ad-hoc one-on-ones.
  • Organizes, reviews, and distributes calendar invitations, expectations, slide desk, arrive times and start times for presenters and volunteers.
  • Facilitates and submits deliverables required from admissions and enrollment management.
  • Participates in the planning and development of Welcome Week and anti-melt activities for new student populations in collaboration with undergraduate Program Chairs and designated staff in Enrollment Management.
  • Develops new initiatives and outreach activities for local constituents to support traditional freshmen and transfer student enrollment goals.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the College at events, meetings, and workgroups. Ensures communication of key brand values and equips all colleagues with necessary information to promote the College and its programs to prospective students and parents.
  • Manages a team of student volunteers, the CNHP Dragon Recruitment Team, to participate at large-scale recruitment events. Identifies, trains, staffs, and evaluates each students’ participation to determine recruitment effectiveness.
  • Coordinates and facilitates prospective student class visits reaching out to Associate Deans, Program Chairs and Faculty to learn of opportunities and relaying details to colleagues in Enrollment Management and Student Success.
  • Coordinates and strategizes on messaging and the development of presentations given by Program Chairs at events and new ventures related to recruitment.
  • Attends local recruitment events aligned with the College’s recruitment goals. Serves as the College’s spokesperson at university-wide events.
  • Review and update content for website including, but not limited to, editorial content, website copy, videos, pictures, and infographics.
  • Other duties as assigned and ability to work flexible hours including some evening and weekends.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to interact in a highly professional manner with internal and external constituents at all levels.
  • Ability to serve as a spokesperson for the College and to coordinate training and scheduling of CNHP advisors to assist in staffing enrollment management events in an effort to communicate key brand values to disparate audiences. Ability to tailor brand message to specific audiences is key.
  • Highly proficient oral and written communications skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including phone and email, in meeting with prospective students and external stakeholders (i.e., academic advisors, transfer counselors etc.).
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand trends.
  • Ability to work independently in project development.
  • Ability to work as a valued member of the College Engagement, Marketing and Communications team, and to serve as a liaison with Enrollment Management and University constituents.
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Banner, Slate, Nolij, Hyperion and project management software strongly preferred. Familiarity with Brazen Careerist desired.
