Job Summary
Associate Director of Admissions (Recruitment) will lead strategic recruitment planning for all new undergraduate students to identify, attract, admit, and enroll a qualified and diverse student body, aligning with the university strategic plan and values.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Communicate with prospective students, family members and supporters, community partners, and others to assist in the college search process and lead to enrollment at Georgia Southern University
  • Provide general support, as needed, for special projects in fulfillment of departmental objectives
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team for the Office of Admissions. Meet regularly with all members of the leadership team and seek opportunities for close collaboration in fulfillment of departmental goals
  • Provide advice and support to the Director and other members of the leadership team. Model a high level of integrity and service for all members of the team at all times
  • Collaborate with the leadership team in the annual recruitment planning and assessment process
  • Work closely with both departmental, divisional and university partners to develop training opportunities for staff
  • Directly supervise two Assistant Directors and a Coordinator, providing leadership to a recruitment team of 16 professional staff who serve the following student types: first-time freshman, dual enrollment, traditional transfer, readmit, adult and non-traditional, transient, and post-baccalaureate
  • Work effectively with a wide range of diverse constituencies, including faculty, deans and senior staff, admission office colleagues, students, parents, guidance counselors and alumni
  • With Director, develop creative and innovative approach to student recruitment that supports strategic recruitment goals and plans for sustained new student enrollment to meet university goals
  • Demonstrate competency in data analysis allowing for careful monitoring of admission funnel metrics to assess recruitment success and make adjustments mid-cycle as necessary

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Other Required Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • An appreciation for the cyclical nature of admission work and the flexibility to handle a variety of duties and projects throughout the day as well as throughout the year

Required Experience
  • Five or more years of related work experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Master's degree

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with CRM systems and applicable student-focused technologies that enhance the student recruitment process.
  • Experience supervising professional staff

Proposed Salary
$56,300 - $71,700
