This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. The primary purpose of this position is to direct testing activities at the University of Central Missouri ( UCM ) and the Missouri Innovation Campus ( MIC ), including web-based, computer-based and paper/pencil placement exams, entrance and exit exams, correspondence tests, all national standardized tests and other assessments, as well as providing other testing services for members of the community outside the university. This position oversees score reporting and provides consultation to faculty, staff, administration, students, testing companies and community agencies regarding various aspects of testing.
The director oversees the Office of Testing Services and manages the budget, in accordance with policies that promote high quality operations, ethical practices as outlined in the Code for Fair Testing Practices in Education, professional mandates, and policies consistent with the University and the National Collegiate Testing Association ( NCTA ) Professional Standards and Guidelines for professional testing services. The director supervises multiple full-time testing coordinators, graduate assistants, student workers, part-time and temporary test supervisors and proctors. The director is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of score reporting and that all testing is conducted in compliance with appropriate policies and regulations. The director is the primary point of contact for all testing company and score data download contracts. Any field required. Psychology, Counseling, Education field preferred. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Other - Internet, Criterion, Banner preferred. Experience
1. Three or more years in higher education administration required.
2. Three or more years of experience administering high stakes national standardized exams required.
3. Progressively more responsible experience working in higher education administration, preferably in a testing center.

Working knowledge of testing, statistics, measurement, assessment, and related areas.
Conflict resolution skills.
Ability to conduct meetings and make presentations to small and large groups.
Knowledge of ethics and legal aspects of testing and score reporting.
Ability to give directions clearly.
Current knowledge of testing practices, ethical and legal issues, etc.
Ability to work with highly confidential test material and student data on a daily basis.
Ability to maintain test security; adhere to strict standardized test procedures.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to interact with students and parents to discern their needs in a professional manner.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions
Ability to learn and adhere to National College Test Association as well as test company policies and procedures. Certification by Educational Testing Services for all exams within 2 months ( CLEP, HiSET, % GRE /Praxis/ TOEFL ).
Certification by PSI as FAA Test Center Supervisor within 2 months.
Certification by Scantron, Kryterion, ProV & any other specific exams administered in Testing Services within 2 months. Supplemental Questions
