Major/Essential Functions
The faculty member's primary teaching responsibilities include didactic, case/simulation-based, and lab/experiential teaching within the School of Pharmacy’s Pharm.D. curriculum. Courses include but are not limited to: Molecular Foundations of Therapeutics, Clinical Correlations, Applied Medicinal Chemistry, Principals of Drug Structure and Action, and Pharmacy Formulations and Compounding. There may be additional teaching responsibilities in the graduate Pharmaceutical Sciences and Biotechnology curricula required in order to support the department’s educational mission. The faculty member will also be expected to engage in scholarship and service activities.

Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral-level degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, etc.). Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher; a record of peer-reviewed publications which have contributed to the discipline or field of study and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline and position level; and promise of excellence in teaching (assistant professor level) or established excellence in teaching (associate professor level). The preferred candidate will have a Doctor of Philosophy degree and experience in teaching basic science courses preferably in a School of Pharmacy or Medicine in one or more fields related to the courses previously listed.
