Position Summary Information

Provides technology procurement for the University. Includes all aspects of the procurement process: sourcing, obtaining quotes, purchasing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, contract management, as well as processing returns and warranty repairs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.Provides support for campus-wide technology procurement process by maintaining a high standard of customer service when interacting with faculty, staff, and vendors to fulfill purchasing requests, processing quotes, purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner.
2.Manages campus software licenses and agreements.
3.Maintains a broad knowledge of computer technologies including equipment such as Apple, Windows, Android, Adobe, and Microsoft systems.
4.Works with vendors to obtain quotes, verify availability, place orders, and coordinate delivery of items.
5.Assists staff with reviewing, evaluating, and recommending hardware and software acquisitions.
6.Manages receiving process for all new technology orders. Updates receiving logs and asset management systems.
7.Oversees shipping process for technology orders by scheduling deliveries and documenting all shipments and returns.
8.Tracks shipping status for technology orders and interfaces with customers to provide updates.
9.Documents technology shipping, tracking, and receiving process and recommends improvements to existing procedures.
10. Manages inventory records for all computers, software, and peripheral equipment on campus.
11. Utilizes asset management software to maintain accurate inventory database.
12. Coordinates physical inventory of computer and peripheral equipment to ensure accuracy of records. Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to student workers to complete assignments. Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities

•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to present information effectively.
•Ability to deliver a high-level of customer service and a strong knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
•Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software applications (especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
•Knowledge of personal computer hardware, software, peripherals, and networks.
•Knowledge of business, English, arithmetic, and general office methods, procedures, and practices.
•Attentiveness to detail.
•Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects.
•Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
•Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
•Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
•Excellent telephone courtesy, knowledge, and experience.
•Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a fast-paced IT environment.
