Key Position Information:
Under funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Tampa Bay Bridges to Baccalaureate (TB-B2B) program seeks to increase transfer rates of underrepresented minorities across the alliance partners (SPC, HCC, SCF). The Alliance manager role will:
  • Oversee the TB-B2B Alliance statement of work, $1,000,000 budget, and deliverables.
  • Serve as liaison between Alliance partners, community organizations, faculty, administration and students.
  • Conduct needs assessments with industry and communities.
  • Ensure high quality training to subrecipients audiences.
  • Oversee agreements and deliverables of sub-awardees.
  • Conduct follow-up efforts with Alliance partners, participants and other stakeholders for valuable feedback as to program process and satisfaction levels.
  • Oversee the St. Petersburg College TB-B2B Student Success Specialist
  • Communicate with the Federal Program Officer
  • Submit reporting and provides technical assistance to the subrecipient in order to meet data collection needs to the funder
  • Conduct monitoring each year to ensure grant compliance

Additional Duties:
  • A strong candidate will have direct working knowledge over STEM project management
  • Serve as liaison between alliance partners, community organizations and college administration
  • Be responsible for conducting needs assessments, annual grant reporting analysis, and data collection
  • Oversee agreements with project deliverables and sub-awardees
  • Be directly responsible for student internship and STEM based research projects for publication

Funding is currently secured through November 30, 2023.


Position Summary:
Position Summary:

The classification is responsible for coordinating the operations and activities of an assigned grant and may supervise lower level administrative or program support staff.

Typical Essential Duties:
  • Coordinates staff and the use of resources;
  • Cultivates internal and external relationships and partnerships;
  • Implements project plans and provides project status updates and reviews;
  • Researches and analyzes data to improve the services or operations of the program;
  • Manages the grant budget and oversees project deliverables;
  • Responsible for monitoring compliance with grant guidelines;
  • Monitors progress of all assigned participants, resolving difficulties and tracking plan progress;
  • Serves as liaison between industry standards, training providers, employers and students;
  • Ensures high quality training opportunities to diverse audiences;
  • Coordinates follow-up activities to document program outcomes and for valuable feedback as to program process and satisfaction levels;
  • Tracks grant funded resource equipment, materials and publications;
  • Prepares reports on fiscal and programmatic status.
  • Coordinates efforts with fiscal agents and sub-recipients of grant.


Requirements::
Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:

Three (3) years in a field related to the program in college or industry.

Physical:
  • Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Potential Frequency
1.
Coordinates assigned program and/or service, ensuring alignment with overall goals, policies and procedures. Coordinates department functions and/or services which may include implementing new initiatives to address student needs; managing admission, registration and graduation process; developing, monitoring and refining outcome metrics.

Develops, manages, and communicates resources through program promotions, class presentations, training sessions, and faculty and community partnerships.

Develops and maintains internal and external relationships; participates in a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding services, programs, areas of opportunity, and/or other information; represents program on committees, advocacy groups, and/or other related groups.

4.
Advises students, faculty, and staff on a variety of issues related to assigned programmatic area; evaluate to determine program progress, program adherence, and/or other related issues; and maintains related files.
Daily - 15%

5.
Researches and analyzes a variety of data and information, including student database information; summarize findings in reports.
Daily - 5%

6.
May monitor and administer a budget by submitting justifications for budget items, and monitoring program expenditures with grants accounting.
Daily - 5%

7.
May supervise staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
