Job Summary
The assistant vice president, enrollment management provides dynamic and forward-looking leadership for on-ground admissions and enrollment management while working with the senior vice president for LU global, senior leaders, and faculty to further the best interests of the University.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Maintains responsibility for policy-level decisions and the development of policies related to the way on-ground recruitment/enrollment, and/or financial aid will be pursued or provided by the University, but not engaging in individual student contact in securing enrollment (recruitment) or financial aid
- Leads and monitors on-ground enrollment management by analyzing recruitment, admissions and retention data; overseeing the development and implementation of on-ground enrollment management processes; and managing on-ground recruitment and admissions policies and processes
- Directs fiscal and resource strategies that align with the enrollment management strategic plan; manages departmental budget
- Directs departmental process mapping with a focus on streamlining and improving customer experience and guides staff in data collection, assessment, interpretation, and presentation
- Acts as liaison among key stakeholders to analyze processes and makes recommendations on how on-ground enrollment management and the university can achieve goals
- Collaborates with Information Technology (IT) staff to determine solutions for business problems, including creating a combination of ad-hoc and stored procedure reports to be utilized to achieve revenue targets
- Implements procedures that provide timely processing of admissions applications
- Ensures other departments provide services to students that are responsive and consistent and fully comply with all applicable federal, state and college laws, regulations and policies
- Establishes long- and short-term strategic goals based on assessment data and ensures standards for the department and its field are met or exceeded
- Collaborates with the supervisor in the creation and execution of recruitment and retention plans, assuring alignment with the University’s mission
- Supports the mission of the university and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Assists with recruitment for staff openings
- Serves as human resources liaison for On-Ground Enrollment Management
- Sets clear performance expectations and holds employees accountable; conducts regular check-in sessions and annual employee evaluations based on evidence, observation and feedback
- Provides annual salary recommendations and employee change approvals; oversees student employee allocations
- Models, supports and holds others accountable to the university’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamwork
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Master’s degree
- 5 years’ experience in higher education at a director level
- Completion of vaccination status survey and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of hire.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, along with the ability to initiate and maintain internal and external relationships
- Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and public speaking skills
- Results-oriented leader with the ability to analyze data, make recommendations and collaborate interdepartmentally
- Strong professional integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to use good judgment, think critically and communicate effectively
- Ability to use general office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products
- Knowledgeable in the areas of enrollment management, academic services and financial aid
- General office setting
- Local travel may be required
- Ability to work effectively at a computer for up to eight hours daily
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
- Adequate mobility to attend meetings and events across campus
