Curry Health Center invites applications for an Administrative Associate III to join their team. The administrative associate holds a key position in the counseling office, and is responsible for greeting clients, scheduling appointments, processing client information, managing the reception area, answering and directing telephone calls and maintaining a keen attention to detail. The individual in this position must have the ability to multitask and to work well in a team setting with a wide variety of people. Due to the nature of the position, the incumbent must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and must maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
This position will work with other departments including medical reception and dental reception. Duties in the Medical Office include: greeting patients, scheduling appointments, processing patient information, managing the reception windows, answering and directing telephone calls, and placing and releasing health holds in BANNER for all incoming students. This position requires processing medical records to determine if a student has met the immunization requirements, as well as fielding COVID related phone calls regarding testing on a regular basis.
This individual in this position will work while University of Montana (UM) students are in session (Fall, Spring and Summer sessions).

- Working knowledge of and ability to use office equipment

- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- High School diploma and three (3) years of relative administrative experience within a health services office or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior reception experience in a mental health or addictions clinic.
- Continuing education classes in customer service
- Knowledge of electronic health records

Position Details
Position Title: Administrative Associate III
Position Number: NEW
Department: Curry Health Center
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Academic Year (10 months/year, End of August through mid-May), during fall and spring semesters, and reduced hours during summer semesters, and does not work when school is not in session, i.e. spring break, winter holiday break, etc. Position requires an alternative work schedule.
Salary: $14.605/hr
Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE
Probationary Period: Six months minimum
