Position Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will promote the principles EH&S in support of the University's mission of providing high-quality instruction, scholarship, and service.

Minimum Education:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Loss Prevention and Safety, Psy-chology or other field of study in a related field is required or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience:

• At least one year of related experience. Preferably in a Public Safety, a police department, emergency management, and/or environmental health and safety, or their equivalents.
• Experience in the University environment is strongly preferred. The candidate will also possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Develop Programs and Policies to facilitate compliance with all applicable laws and recommended standards.
Assist in the Day to Day EHS Departmental Operations Regarding Compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety Regulations and Standards.
